Would be helpful to know before I start dismantling things. This is a common fault apparently. Problem is, the hose broke where enters the roof by the passenger side hinge. The system returned: (22) Invalid argument The remote host or network may be down. They sorted it out, all they did was clean the nozzle out, it had got clogged up with washer fluid and grime... So once the ribbed hose was inserted into the fuel hose, I glued it in place.

Anyway, the board was covered in rust and mineral deposits; there had clearly been washer fluid leaking onto it. I feel I'm yanking and might break something soon! Sounds like one side is normally open and the other is closed, they both change state when power is applied. I checked the wires in the back hatch and there were about 4 or five that were showing exposed wire.
Mine came apart again a few months later so it may be worth super-gluing it. Maybe I can rest easy with a 10/09 build date, but i'd like to really understand it.
