Reinstall radio. I can't seem to find much info on the defroster in the Bentley manual. I finally got around to investigating the problem, and I think that it is wired incorrectly. Ever since I bought my used A5 the rear window defroster has not worked.

However, no voltage on the passenger side on any lines or on the vertical edge.

I'll just cram it in there then. I have the same issue with my 2010 A5, the demister switch comes on and lights up but no power to the actual heating element. a lot of times over the years they snap off the glass and no longer work.
